The result of years of research into the new field of human-centric lighting, the SolarCycle and Morph task/ambient lighting products took Dyson's lighting family of products to the next level of refinement and technical innovation. Our involvement in the project mainly focused on the optical design which featured some highly innovative features including a highly efficient colour mixing optic that completely removed any negative colour fringing or spectral shadowing during the CCT change, all in a compact optic. This unique design also improved the beam pattern and lux levels versus previous task lighting products and enabled multiple new product embodiments such as the ambient tube concept in the Morph product.
